Logic Pro X Free Download

Hi all, I'm fairly new to Logic but I want to run Logic Pro X at home and so I need to buy a Mac of some sort. I wanted to ask if the Mac Book Pro with 500GB hard drive and 4GB RAM would do the job? I know Apple specify 4GB minimum, so it seems like it would be OK, but I've read about a LOT of people having problems with system overloads and crashes, and their Macs have 8 and sometimes 16GB RAM. Would the Mac Book I mentioned be able to handle any significant projects? Being a student it's a lot of cash to effectively only run one programme (if I could buy Logic for PC I would), so I just want to make sure it will not be a waste of money. Any advice would be appreciated. For info, some of the projects I have run up to 100 tracks (don't know if that's a factor.) Thanks a lot!
